Yiorgos has been recruiting for the last 15 years, and joined Forma.ai 9 months ago. As a platform that helps manage sales compensation programs, Forma.ai’s sales API organizes and simplifies commission models for a variety of companies.

What really attracted Yiorgos to Forma.ai was the passion, knowledge, and immediacy the leadership team exuded during his interview process. The supportive environment at Forma.ai is truly impressive.

How Long is the Interview Process?

Forma.ai has definitely evolved during the pandemic reform — shifting towards a more casual, virtual interview process. Yiorgos stresses that his hiring team really values flexibility by allowing their candidates to guide the interview process so it’s smooth, slowly paced, and allows time for reflection.

The majority of employees and hiring is done around the Greater Toronto Area and throughout North America, but Forma.ai has been looking to expand outside of Canada for two main reasons:

  1. Candidates are incredible not only in North America.
  2. Forma.ai is able to connect with engineers abroad and offer sponsorship and support to compete with the local competitive market.

Yiorgos values the importance of flexibility and support for international candidate hiring by offering relocation support.

Biggest Challenge to Global Hiring

The familiarity bias in tech makes it hard for recruiters like Yiorgos to understand your level of experience, knowledge, and expertise.
